 Milesian Who’s Who

Return to Who's Who List Entry for Abraham Lincoln

John Lennon

1940 —  1980

Singer, song writer, musician poet, peace activist, painter

His episodic life was cut short but his legacy is undeniable. He was an Atheist who invoked the wrath of the US Government, yet few could deny his messages in Give Peace a Chance and Imagine. John Lennon enraged a large segment of the Christian populations with, I don’t know what will go first, rock ‘n’ roll or Christianity. We’re more popular than Jesus now! His words were most likely true but a problem was created because he said them. When one compares Lennon’s history with that of the Old Testament God, he at least lived up to his messages, like . . . Give peace a chance! His last wife, Yoko Ono, maintains a website in his memory. www.johnlennon.com

Imagine there’s no heaven, It’s easy if you try.
No hell below us, Above us only sky.
Imagine all the people, living for today. . .
Imagine there’s no countries, It isn’t hard to do.
Nothing to kill or die for, And no religion, too.
